Deliverance from Bondage – Sis L.

Just wanted to share since the start of fasting, I uninstalled my Facebook app, I left my Messenger app as part of my social media fast aside from one meal fast a day.

I realized that I had been browsing in FB without even noticing that hours have elapsed specially at night before I sleep. Instead of doing that, I intentionally devoted my time to prayer. While having devotion, at times I was tempted to peep but by God’s grace, I was able to resist.

I know God is dealing with me and changing me. Before, even if I didn’t stalk my offenders’ FB accounts, I intentionally posted things, (sometimes bible verses) to convict them. I also posted our pictures on purpose para inggitin si Offender because I knew she is the one maybe stalking mine.

God dealt with me on that and I asked for forgiveness from Him. Most of the time also, I’m guilty of yearning for more likes and comments to increase my confidence but the Lord says my identity is in Him alone.

I’m a work-in-progress but I thank God that He keeps on reminding me.

The verses that speak to me most in this season:

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Prov‬ ‭3:3-6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:13-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Praise God, Sis L, for overcoming the compulsion to check for evidence of wrongdoing. The Lord is delivering you from bondage to this and strengthening you to remember your identity is in Christ alone. In Him you are More Than Conqueror, beloved, redeemed, forgiven, being made new! May the Lord continue to heal and deliver you from anything that is not from Him and may He continue to make you the best version of yourself conformed to the image of Christ and having life abundantly in His name and for His glory amen.

  1. I am so thankful to this forum …. it helped me a lot in dealing with my husbands infedelity. This forum guided me on what to do. Likewise I deactivated my FB account because I noticed that instead of making me happy I get stressed. My husband stopped liking my post specially pictures of us together eversince I found out about his infedelity. Probably he felt guilty. I also stopped checking his FB account. I was also able to brush off negative feelings through prayers. I am still a work in progress but I know God will heal me and will restore my marriage. Please pray for my family as well. Thank you.

    1. Praise God for His Word does not go back to Him empty but accomplishes the purpose for which He sends them! His word shared here and applied in real lives is a source of great encouragement! Praising God for all those who are willing to share His stories in their lives as well as for you who are applying it in your own life. You are tasting and seeing that The Lord is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8. Including you and your family in prayers for His victory over your trials, that you know Him more intimately, and restoration for you and your husband to Him individually and restoration of your marriage and family relationships in Jesus’s name and for His glory amen
