Standing My Ground – Edel Kutukova

Last June 29, I was blessed to have joined The Praying Wife Forum (PWF) for the first time. I am extremely grateful to the Lord that He sent me to the event entitled “Forgiveness.” Liza Sison was the speaker. She, along with the other Praying Wives, were used mightily by our heavenly Father to encourage me with their own testimonies on how forgiveness can be truly given to those who wronged us, most especially our spouses. Their forgiving hearts inspired me to learn how to pray and forgive my spouse, too— to forgive the past, to forgive what is now, and to be ready to forgive what will be in the future.

Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake.
— ‭‭2 Cor‬ ‭2:10‬

As I face the challenges in my own marriage, the PWF and God’s chosen children behind every PWF talk, event, and bible study have encouraged me to stand my ground as God’s anointed wife for my husband to continuously walk with Jesus, to keep my eyes on Him, and to totally trust and surrender to His will despite my own marital hardships.

For the past months, PWF events, the Viber support group, and the people behind it have been helping me to strengthen my faithfulness to Jesus.

My marriage reached rock bottom and if I wasn’t with the Lord, I must have given up my marriage to the enemy, but it wasn’t the case.

Knowing that I have sisters-in-Christ in PWF (who themselves are holding on to God’s promises to an obedient wife) empowers me and gives me wisdom to choose the righteous decisions in my marriage.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
‭‭— Ephesians‬ ‭5:22-24‬

As I walk my Christian faith with the ladies of PWF, Eph. 5:22-24 verse has become more clear in my life. The biblical wisdom I get from PWF has changed my perspective and my own actions towards serving Christ Jesus and serving my husband as well to be able to see Lord’s Amazing Grace and Merciful Love amidst the struggles of my marriage.

To God be all the Glory and Honor 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
