I am Your Beloved Bride. You gave Yourself up for me to make me holy, cleansing me by the washing with water through the Word, and to present me to Yourself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” Eph 5:25-27 NIV
I confess and repent of my spiritual adultery, the ways I have focused on myself, people, the different idols I give more importance than You, and the ways in which I believe Satan’s lies that go against Your word.
My spiritual adultery is contagious as COVID-19; outwardly well, I may be infecting the people around me with the droplets of my words and actions that are disloyal to You, that waver in fixing my eyes on You, and that reveal my divided heart that serves my or the enemy’s purposes instead of Yours.
Thank You for this time of social and spiritual distancing that gives me more time to spend alone with You and Your Word—- the Sword of Your Spirit —- my only offense weapon against circumstances and the pervasive pandemic of spiritual adultery.
Sanctify me by Your Word.
Let Your Word purify my heart and shield me from my flesh, the world, and the enemy.
Cleanse me of my wrong thoughts, desires, actions, words.
Renew my mind according to Your Word. Help me to abide in and dwell in You.
Thank You that I can be confident of this, that You who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Thank You for making me a new creation. “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
I will not fear for Your plans for me are not to harm me but to prosper me, to give me a hope and a marvellous future with You. No eye has seen, no ear has heard what You have in store for those who love You.
Thank You for loving me the way You do; nothing can separate me from Your love. For I know that in all things, You work for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. May Your Spirit be manifested in my life in Jesus’s name and for His glory alone amen
