Forgiving The Undeserving

Are these the cries of our hearts?

“I will never forget what they did…sobrang sakit ng ginawa nila…

they do not deserve to be forgiven!

” Si Lord yun at hindi ako si Lord.”

or

“I may forgive them in the future pero hindi ngayon…time will heal the pain.”

These emotions are natural especially after the trauma we had experienced, but natural doesn’t mean it is right nor justifiable especially when we are professing to be followers of Christ.

We Should always go back to the Word and not the world(Romans 12:2).

Being children of God isn’t easy because this would mean giving up what is convenient and satisfying for us to do-

and that is to retaliate when mistreated, and just give up and move on, but again, we are not of this world anymore,

but of Christ thus, we do not do as the world does nor we normalize what the world calls normal.

We go against the tide of this world kumbaga.

So hanggang kelan ako magpapatawad?

Hanggang tayo ay pinapatawad pa din ng Lord.

John 13:15 AMP

For I gave you [this as] an example,

so that you should do [in turn] as I did to you.
