E: Takeaway from Sis Cecille’s devotion super dami dami dami Pero short of it that impacts me most is that a key ingredient for us to be able to wait proactively by rejoicing in the Lord always, praying continually, and in all the good bad ugly circumstances be able to thank God—- is our trust in the Lord’s sovereignty that in His all knowing wisdom, almighty power, and perfect love for us, He is in control.
We have great reasons to rejoice: we know who we are in Christ, we know God’s lavish extravagant radical unconditional unfailing love for us, and we have our living hope in Jesus Christ.
It’s important to FIX our EYES ON JESUS and genuinely seek that relationship with Him —- our primary goal. All else is His job. Nothing is too difficult for Him. All things are possible for Him. But I should guard my heart that I seek the Giver, not the Gift as my primary purpose. The Giver is able, a WayMaker MIracleWorker PromiseKeeper but we would miss the whole point of the massive training exercise (with brokenness in the pit) if we limited God… if we exerted all effort for a cup of water when Jesus said, “whoever drinks the water HE gives will never thirst. Indeed the water HE gives will become a spring of water in us welling up to eternal life.”
So to the lengthy discussion (because this is a valid question) re praying for marriage restoration, by all means exercise your faith, take up God on all His invitations to put your faith in Him and the many promises for a wife.
But let us remember the priority foundation of building that intimate abiding earnest relationship with Christ who is our Sufficiency and Source of All who has already proven True Love for us by giving His own life so that we may live.
“Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever.”
Psalms 146:3-6 NIV
CV: My take away: Prayer is nothing if I do not turn away from my wicked ways or state of sinfulness.
I have every reason to rejoice always, the gift of eternal life
I will always give thanks to Him because of who I am in Him
DI: Praying unceasingly does not mean nonstop.. it means in every situation of your life.. do not stop talking to the Lord thru prayer.
AM: Reasons to rejoice:
- My identity in Christ
- God’s love for me. Fave verse is (Psalm 17:8).
- It is a command to always rejoice. (Philippines 4:4) It’s okay to be sad it’s a normal emotion but to wallow in sadness is a sin. It leads to bitterness.
Also, joy along with others are fruits of the Spirit. The lack joy indicates not being filled with the Holy Spirit. If we also look at the things we have instead of what we dont have, we will always be joyful because we will see God’s favor and blessings all the time. Yun lang po. Thank you.
JA: My take away on focusing eyes on Jesus: We may break our promises to each other. We may also fail and disappoint each other, instead let’s focus our eyes on Jesus who will NEVER break His promises, who will NEVER FAIL AND DISAPPOINT US. Jesus is our UNBROKEN REDEEMER! His love never fails!
JO: I was struggling kaninang umaga. And i am tempted not to attend muna our BS today. But I praise God for allowing me to join today sobrang na convict ako sa lesson. If i am facing trials nagreretaliate ako and grumbling. And also kapag meron silang sinasabi against me lalo pag galing sa husband ko. Nagseself pitty ako sa sarili ko na ganito ako, di na ako magbabago. I learned today na kahit anong sitwasyon meron ako whether good or bad, i should rejoice always and pray instead of grumbling, and also remember who I am in God’s sight. That I am special, loved and forgiven by Jesus.
TS: My take away
I realize Being a reborn Christian or a new creation of God we are are not actually exempted to adversities And trials of these world. In fact we are attacked by trials left and rright because of our desire to know Jesus and build an intentional relationship with him. Trials are so painful that we tend to oftentimes give up. But when we continue to focus on Him by unceasing prayers and surrender everything ibeying trusting and giving thanks He is faithful to restore us and we cintinue with our race until we get our reward
To live is Christ and to die is gain
ET: Rejoicing in the Lord always
Pray without Ceasing
In everything give Thanks
All go hand in hand as this is God’s will for me. Perfect nourishment for a hungry soul. Always making a conscious effort to fill my cup with prayers by rejoicing and giving thanks. As they say – an empty mind/soul is the the devil’s playground. I will always recognize areas in my life everyday where ungratefulness can creep into my thoughts and words without realizing it, even seeping into my prayers sometimes. Thank you always my Lord for your presence, peace, faithfulness, comfort when I am faced with challenges. I will dwell on your promise my Lord and not on my circumstances. Thank you PWF sisters. Love to you all.
NJ: My take away for today
First to humble down myself to God, to pray unceasingly jn all aspect of my life and to rejoice with him in good and bad times to be always thankful small or big blessing and even in my worse sit. For apart from Him I can do nothing.
JZ: This verse really have a great impact in my life, God reveal it to me when I make lambing to Him and asked Him what is really His will to me and why He gave me that brokenness- lo and behold God clearly gave me “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5 : 16-18
So, I enumerated the highlighted messages that He revealed to me: WAIT – as I wait I must learn to be still “Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” and to TRUST the Lord with all my heart and not to lean on my own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6. As I wait and trust God, it gives birth to HOPE!
Psalm 33:20-22 We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- During the waiting and being hopeful, God reminded me as well to be joyful, as in to REJOICE always! #forevergrateful
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
CB: In my understanding, fixing our eyes in Jesus is like a parent who is trying to teach something to his child but because the child is not focusing on what she is being thought off, the parent took her favorite doll not until the child is able to abide what the parent is teaching her, then she will be able to get back her favorite doll. Same with our marriage, God allowed this present circumstances in our life, he took our husbands for awhile, so we could focus on what he is trying to tell us, so he could finish what his work on us. Then when we learned our lessons, we accepted that we are nothing without him, we are able to humble ourselves to obey and submit to all his commands , when the right time comes he will answer our prayers and return our husbands back. Double victory for us ❤️❤️❤️#datingsawingayonwagi
JB: In everything give thanks
When you pray according to God’s will it will be done.
When you pray do not doubt.
The Seed of Faith
In one of the most widely known Scriptures, Matthew 17:20, Jesus said, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I am loved favored child of God.
AA: ✔️ Knowing who I am in Christ Jesus. He gave me the right to become His child. (John 1:12).
✔️ God is the object of my rejoices. Apart from Him I am nothing (John 15:5).
✔️1 John 3:1
📍Great love of the Father lavished on me.
📍 God disciplines me, because He loves me.
1 Peter 2:9
📍I rejoice because I was chosen, I did not chose Him.
📍I am a Royal Preisthood.
📍 God’s special possession.
📍 He call me out of darkness, He delivered me from all evil schemes of the enemy by sending the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom to say no to temptations. ✔️ Rejoice in Focusing in Jesus fixing my eyes to the author and perfecter of my faith.
✔️He was crucified died and was buried, He endured the cross for my sins, who am I to complain on my suffering when He himself suffered for me at the cross fir the redemptions of my sins.
✔️Rejoicing while in trials is very difficult to understand, but after enduring all the pains and overcoming the trials, it is easy to understand to rejoice always in all circumstances and because I am an overcomer, though,I did not reach to the level of winning back my husband but I am completely satisfied to the promises of God that He will fill me wuth tge fruit of the Holy Spirit which id Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, ,and Self-Control (Galatians 5:22-23) and above all is His Love, for God’s love is better than Life (Psalm 63:3).
May we are contineously be filled with Joy and the Holy Spirit. Let there be indwelling and infilling of the Holy Spirit.
CO: My takeaway for today’s online bible study (thank you Sis Cecille ❤️):
Many are praying for marriage restoration and sometimes the answer that we are waiting for seems to take so long.
But in praying, we have to check our hearts first if we are centered on the Giver (our Lord) first before the gift. It occurred to me that this is some form of idolatry if we give more importance to the marriage restoration than your relationship with God and Christ. And maybe this is the reason why the answer to our prayers seems so unattainable or is taking so long.
The waiting period is God’s way of bringing us closer to Him, time to fix our attention to Him, realize that we can only depend on Him alone and that only He can give us true love.
Z: During these times, God asks us to focus on Him and His faithfulness to us, rather than on our circumstances; to dwell on His promise to never leave or forsake us and to trust Him to help us in every situation we face in life.
LT: Focus on Jesus:
I remember in one of my deep prayer with the Lord during the onset of my marital problem. I see a vision of me walking in the water and Jesus was there asking him to come to me. And again i was reminded of that verse in our bible study today about Focusing on Jesus. the Lord is inviting me i believe in that vision i saw, to Focus on Him and trust Him about my situation. I am like Peter back then when he walked into the water and overcome by fear and lose his focus on the Lord he began to sink. Everytime i focus on my husband i am overwhelmed by my situation, everytime i rely on my own strength i stumble and again peace and joy was robbed in me. But when i put Him first and really asked the Lord to give me peace and joy despite of my situation i really felt that I am the apple of His eye. There was a time i felt so envious bec husband will pick up the girl after office and me commuting. But after seeking God and really asked him to accompany me everytime i go to work and home i dont feel the envy but sabi ko di naman niya ako pinapabayaan that is so much to be thankful for. I am a work in progress. And i feel that minsan pag naooverwhelm pa din ako i tend to rely on my own strength but God is so good reminding me esp thru pwf and our bs and activities that indeed if we seek Him first all else will follow.
