Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Jacob did not even consider marrying Leah. It was her younger sister he was smitten with for whom he was willing to work seven years to have as his wife. The unfavored Leah was thrust into marriage with Jacob by the scheme of her father, Laban.
Leah was unwanted by her husband but she did not vacate her post. Jacob would end up choosing to be buried with her. She would end up an ancestor of Jesus Christ.
