Lord, I want to be controlled by Your Holy Spirit today, thinking of what pleases You. Fill me with Your Spirit as Your Word commands in Ephesians 5:18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. As a person drunk with wine is led by it to say and do things that he wouldn’t normally do, may I be filled with Your Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and empower me to do the things that are aligned with Your will, to override my feelings and wants so that what I want will only be what pleases You. May I be a daughter who truly looks like You today. It will be Your work manifested in me for apart from Your Spirit, I can do nothing good. John 15:5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” I confess my complete dependence on You.
I yield control of my mind and body to Your Spirit. May I bear the right fruit. Galatians 5:22-23a
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May You be glorified in my life today in Jesus’s name amen.
