Why Zip Lips? Magpakatotoo Ka Para Di Sumabog

Scroll down to content

Sis A: Zip lips po.. Kahit sasabog ka na🙂🤗

Sis O: Mas sasabog pag di mo nailabas; do it gently and be assertive … di naman palagi okay na lang sige “quiet na lang ako. Minsan magpakatotoo naman sa nararamdaman.

——————-

Dear sis, the “zip lips” is actually consistent with Scripture not to be a nagging wife (proverbssss),

To have gentle and QUIET spirit, win husband over WITHOUT A WORD (1 Pet 3)

And it is a translation of exodus 14:14 :

“GOD will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!”” Exodus‬ ‭14:14‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Our real natural selves based on natural man when Self is on throne
is what got us in trouble in the first place.

When we are being made into new creation in Christ (2Cor 5:17), not being conformed to the patterns of this world but being transformed by the renewing of our minds (Rom 12:2) through His Word (our only offense weapon in spiritual warfare, the Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God Eph 6) we are being called to

Die to self and let Christ live in us (Gal 2:20), let Jesus sit
on throne of our lives so He is not only resident dwelling in us but President (what “Lord” means) ruling over our flesh.

He gave these examples for us to follow:

“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that WE [we] SHOULD FOLLOW in his steps.
When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:21, 23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“In your relationships with one another, HAVE THe same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sis O: Thank you sis .. my point is that we cannot just be quiet and ‘sealed lips’ kasi sasabog talaga kaya may mga depressed and anxiety kasi hindi nailalabas yung sama ng loob . I speak for myself.

Sis L: I suggest for cases like this it is important for us if we’re feeling that way at times if we can express ourselves and talk to an accountability partner or a person that is guided by the Lord whom we can share our emotions and can fully understand and support and guide us, for prodigal husbands kasi if sa kanila kahit small hint of pagkontra or anything spiritual or just presenting our sides laki na arguments and minsan kahit maayos pagsasalita natin, let’s accept the fact that if they are blinded iba pa fun magiging dating sa kanila.

Dear sis, God made us More Than Conquerors in Christ over all these things including insults. When we agree with Satan with lies he sends thru human beings, that’s what will depress us.

Sis O: Thank you for always pointing me to scriptures and to our Lord Jesus who is our protector, I can correct myself and accept the things that I cannot change. And godly wisdom to understand the things that I do not understand. All honor and Glory belongs to God .

———————

Praise God sis for your willingness to be corrected by Gods word.

I think many of us are same— strong women— or so we think until God brings us to our knees.
Gods recipes for victory usually seem to not make sense to us and parang it won’t achieve the goals we want.

For so long I thought I was smart but I realised that my self-dependence (BSS – bilib sa sarili) was the very hindrance for me to seek, understand, apply Gods instructions. Lagi ako may dahilan or justification not to obey but it prolonged my breakthrough for so long.

Still learning and asking Him to change what needs to be more like Him. Meanwhile learning that my (or humans’) wisest wisdom is foolishness to God.

#aray

“Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.””
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18-20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sis O: Wala naman ibang way sis kung hindi mag obey and pray 💕🙏💯

Iyak ko na lang kay God lahat ng pain and hurt… then in Everything give thanks 🙏

Yes sis we join Jesus in Gethsemane where we ask
Father if it is possible for U, take this cup of suffering from me
But not my will but Your will be done.

But for us who are in Christ, we know that the best is yet to come because after Friday’s death is Sunday’s Resurrection!

May this encourage you when current temporary circumstances are too much to bear ( Pastor Peter interviewed about the gang rape of his then 15-year old daughter)
