“What’s Important Is I’m Obeying The Lord” -T.G.

A testimony from Sis T. G.:

“Some time ago, my husband told me that he will leave our house (in other words, me and our marriage).

God spoke to me through these verses:

‘Many are the plans in a man’s heart but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.’ Prov 19:21

Hebrews 11:1 ‘Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.’

Luke 1:37 ‘It may be impossible for humans but for God nothing is impossible.’

God has been encouraging my faith and clarifying His will that [the marriage] He put together, let no man (not even me) put asunder.

Yesterday, my husband asked me why I am ‘nagtiyatiyaga pa and staying (still enduring and staying in our marriage).’

I said ‘because God wants me to stand for our marriage.’

He said ‘Ikaw lang ang may gusto (You’re the only one who wants it).’

I told him this:

‘I am standing for our marriage because God intended it so. It’s His will. I am waiting for Him to move in our lives. I don’t care how long. If you think it’s just what I want, it’s okay. What’s important is I’m obeying The Lord, thats what matters to me. I’m a work-in-progress; I realized all my mistakes and I’m trying my best to be what the Lord wants me to be. I fail and yet He never gives up on me. And so I will not give up on this marriage. God is in control.’

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sis T.G., praise God for your faith in choosing to follow His Word and for that what matters most is that you are obeying Him.

Matthew 9:29b “According to your faith let it be done to you.”
